Answers - to most frequently asked questions
Q. Does it matter what type of item I would like to have embroidered?
A. Yes, different fabrics react differently to embroidery. Some fabrics have deep pile while others may be prone to stretching during the embroidery operation. All can be embroidered but take different techniques in the digitizing of the design. Whenever requesting quotes on embroidery or silkscreening, always specify the types of items you are considering.
Q. Does it cost more to have a variety of colors?
A. Generally, it does NOT cost more to have more colors in the design. Most modern computerized embroidery machines have multiple colors mounted on the machine at any given time. (Ours has 12)
Q. Is it expensive to have a logo digitized?
A. My stock answer here is "it depends". Most logos are NOT that expensive to digitize. The variables are size, complexity of design, number of different colors etc. The rule of thumb is about $15.00 per thousand stitches, but most digitizers including myself take a look at the overall design complexity before giving a quote.
Q. How do I get my artwork to you and how long does it take to get a quote?
A. Artwork can be sent in a variety of ways including US Mail, UPS etc. but the fastest way is by e-mail. Our system can read and interpret most formats (Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, TIFF, EPS, etc) Quotes are processed within 48 hours (usually less).
Q. Can you work from sketches?
A. Yes, however, the better quality of artwork the better result in the digitizing process.
